Official Statement: Chloe Bibby, Natasha Mack and Migna Touré

At Spar Girona, we want to share that, although the national competition has not yet concluded, Chloe Bibby, Natasha Mack, and Migna Touré are heading to the United States to join the training camps of their respective WNBA teams.

Pere Puig, Sporting Director of Uni Girona, commented on the situation:
“Bibby, Mack, and Touré will not start the playoffs with our team. In the case of Chloe and Natasha, their contracts included a clause allowing them to leave for their WNBA teams once the main goal had been achieved. It’s important to clarify that had we not won the regular season, they would have stayed until securing the EuroLeague Women spot. Since we accomplished that goal at the first opportunity, they have decided to leave now.”

Regarding Touré: “Her case is more complex. Tomorrow, in a press conference, the president will explain the situation. It wasn’t stated in her contract, but the club chose to respect her wishes,” Pere concluded.

With our primary goal achieved —qualification for the EuroLeague Women— we want to thank them for their effort, commitment, and dedication over the past months.

President Cayetano Pérez will speak at a press conference tomorrow, Thursday, April 24th, at 11 a.m. to address the situation and clarify any possible doubts.
